Congratulations On Your Retirement Mike

MAW would like to congratulate Mike Nagle on his retirement.  We are going to miss your passion you put into every project and your clients.
Thank you for everything over the years and you will be missed!

Mike began his journey in the construction industry at the age of 14 when he worked summers for his father’s cement contracting firm where he learned a strong work ethic from a stubborn German (his father) who continued to work in that industry well into his 70’s.

It was there that he garnered his huge passion for the building industry and has been involved in it ever since.

Mike worked as a project manager and design engineer for three different firms from 1972 to 1986. In 1986 he began his own remodeling firm and has been owner or partner since. Mike is currently a partner in the firm MAW Chicago LLC (MAW stands for “Men at Work”) a company that combined three existing firms into one. In addition to his Certified Graduate Remodeler (CGR) and Certified Aging-In-Place Specialist (CAPS) designations, Mike earned a degree in civil engineering from Texas A&M University. To comply with the new LRRP lead ruling that went into effect April 22, 2010, Mike has finished the requirements to become a Certified Lead Renovator and has completed his company’s registration with the EPA. MAW Chicago specializes in residential and commercial renovation work and has completed several projects with Trust Companies for families with clients with special needs.

Mike has held a variety of leadership positions within the remodeling and building industry. Currently he is an NAHB national life director, an NAHB Build-PAC trustee, Chairman of the NAHB Design Committee, life director of his local home builders association and Senior Vice President then President of the Home Builders Association of Illinois. Beyond serving on industry trade show and publication advisory boards, Mike has served the NAHBR, a 14,000 member council of NAHB in many capacities including chairman of the Public Affairs committee and the CGR Board of Governors before serving as their National Chairman in 2007.

Mike teaches consumer awareness courses that educates the general public on the remodeling process and the new LRRP EPA ruling.

Most recently, Mike was a consultant for the Museum of Science and Industry “Smart House: Green and Wired and testified at a Senate Hearing on lead in response to the EPA’s new LRRP. Mike takes every opportunity to advance the professionalism of the Remodeling industry.

Mike and his wife Vern live in Roselle, IL. Mike is a coach of their grandsons little league team and will be the manager of his little league travel team this summer. Mike loves to play golf and power volleyball, is a diehard Bulls fan and is a big movie buff.
